It istherefore called anti-β-sheet peptide or β-sheet inhibitor. iAβ11 binds to Aβ,inhibits Aβ fibril formation and partially disaggregates preformed fibrils invitro. This anti-β-sheet peptide may serve as a starting point to designinhibitors of amyloidogenesis in vivo.
